NORTH BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Mildred Moriarty were held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Wednesday, May 9, 2007, with the Rev. Michael A. Demasi, officiating.Words of remembrance were offered by a granddaughter-in-law, Serena Mattison, and the hymn “The Old Rugged Cross” was played in Mrs. Mariarty’s memory.Bearers were four grandsons, Rick Mattison, Tim Marsh, Tom Moriarty, John Moriarty, a grandson-in-law, Jack Rifenburg, and a great-grandson, Kainen Mattison.Burial took place in the family lot in Center Shaftsbury Cemetery with Father Demasi offering the committal prayers.Mrs. Moriarty, widow of Louis Moriarty, a longtime resident of Bank Street Extension, North Bennington, died May 3, 2007, at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington.Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home.
