Mildred Margaret Wiggins Mildred Margaret Wiggins, 65, a retired secretary for the state of Florida, died Monday, November 2, 2009. The service will be at 3 p.m. EST Saturday, November 7, 2009, at First Baptist Chapel, in Quincy, with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. EST Friday, November 6, at Independent Funeral Home.She was born in Panama City, Fla., on Dec. 23, 1923, to the union of Britt Adkinson of Panama City and Margaret (Maggie) Smith of Quincy, Fla. The famil later moved to Gadsden County and she lived there most of her life and later moved to Tallahassee and lived at Georgia Bell Apartments. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Ann (Joe) Glover of Tyler, TX; a son, Britt (Cindy) Wiggins of Lima, Ohio; three grandchildren, Suzanne Glover, J.B. and Ashley Wiggins; two great-grandchildren, Kiya and Chase Wiggins; two sisters, Mary Helen Hewert of Huntsville, Ala., and Marshlea Rudd of Roxbury, N.Y.; a brother, Britt (Lorraine) Adkinson of Loganville, Ga.; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Wiggins, her parents, and an infant brother.
