ALLEN Mildred Louise (Scriven) Allen, age 82 of Sarasota, Fla., died December 14, 2006. A lifelong resident of Fairfield, she was born in Bridgeport, August 31 , 1924 to the late Frank and Louise Scriven. She was predeceased by her late husband, James J. Allen. Mrs. Allen had worked at Underwood Corporation and at City Trust Company before retiring to Florida. Mrs. Allen had been an active member of Eastern Star and The Daughters of the Nile in Fairfield. Survivors include a son, Frank J. Allen of Newtown; a daughter, Mildred L. Mac Donald of Norwalk; her grandchildren, Christine Grey and Richard MacDonald, both of Norwalk; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Allen was buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Funeral services were private.
