'Mimi' Gill 1928-2013 WATERVILLE - Mildred Lee (Anderson) "Mimi" Gill died on Dec. 23, 2013, at Lakewood Nursing Home in Waterville. She was born June 2, 1928, in Baltimore, Md., the daughter of John Norwood and Mildred (Lee) Anderson. Mimi resided in Richmond, Va., and spent summers at the family camp, "Markland," on Great Pond in Belgrade Lakes, where she loved to see the sun rise and hear the calls of the loons. She is survived by sons William Carlyle Gill III, of Nenana, Alaska, and Carter Lee Gill and partner Carol Labbe, of Rome; and a very close cousin Susan C.L. Anderson Mason and her children, Catherine Luckadoo and James Justice, all of North Carolina. She was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, Sr. William Carlyle Gill Jr.; and in 1986 by her son, John Spencer Anderson Gill. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation hours or funeral service. A gathering of family and friends will take place at Markland in August 2014 at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations in Mimi's memory to the Belgrade Lakes Association, P.O. Box 551, Belgrade Lakes, ME 04918. Arrangements under the care and direction of Dan & Scott's Cremation & Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan.
