GLENVILLE Mildred E. (Mickey) Jackson, 90, a resident of the Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center since 2002, passed away quietly on June 4, 2006. While at Baptist, she had received much appreciated excellent care. Born in Schenectady March 20, 1916 to Edward and Mabel Selke. Mickey was a lifelong resident of Schenectady County, domiciled in the City of Schenectady, Towns of Rotterdam and Glenville. Mickey had five brothers and two sisters. Mickey was married to George J. Jackson for 43 years, prior to his death on September 19, 1980. The couple had two sons, Lance R. Jackson of Glenville and Dean G. Jackson. Dean passed away May 16, 1996. Mickey is survived by her son, Lance and his wife, Roberta; granddaughter, Heather and her husband, Brent Feuz; granddaughter, Tiffanie Jackson; daughter-in-law, Ann Jackson; grandsons, Brian Jackson, Robert Palma; great-granddaughter, Amanda Palma; other survivors include her sister, Beatrice Hamlin of Turlock, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews. Granddaughter, Laura Ann Palma passed away in 1979. Mickey was co-owner of LS&G, an engraving and printing firm she operated with her son, Dean who assumed ownership upon her retirement. During her life, Mickey was a Cub Scout Den Mother, member of her sons school PTA's, Ladies Pass Time Bowling League, Glendale Home Auxiliary and with her husband, they were members of The Winter Dance Group. Mickey often raised money for a number of charities. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, June 7, 2006 at 10 a.m . at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway and Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 8 to 10 a.m., prior to the funeral service. Memorial contributions can be made to the the Glendale Home Auxiliary, Northeast Parent and Child Society, Boys and Girls Club of Schenectady, Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center or a charity of the donor's choice.
