Obituary of Mildred-C. Bird


BIRD Mildred (Millie) C., of Bloomingdale, formerly of Greenwood Lake, NY, passed away on November 26, 2008. Millie was born in Mt. Marion, NY, daughter of the late Edward and Kunigunde (Gohs) Willner. After leaving employment in NYC, Millie worked for the Borough of Bloomingdale for twenty-nine years. Millie also served as the Bloomingdale Borough Clerk and Administrator, and was a member of the Bloomingdale United Methodist Church. Surviving Mildred are her two beloved sons, Alan of Bloomingdale and Edward and wife Jane of Berlin, CT and grandsons Michael, Wethersfield, CT and Jeffrey, Berlin, CT. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald in 1991, sister Cecelia in 2002 and brother Clarence in 1975. Viewing will be on Sunday, November 30, 2008 and Monday, December 1, 2008, at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Bloomingdale United Methodist Church, Main St. Bloomingdale, NJ, at 10 AM, on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery, Butler, NJ. Those wishing to, may make memorial contributions to the Bloomingdale United Methodist Church; Bloomingdale Vol. Fire Dept.; Tri-Boro First Aid Squad; or Butler Tri-Boro Rotary. www.themorrisonfuneralhome.com
