Mildred Byrd, 83, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, Sept. 8, at 9 a.m. from the Greater Friendship Baptist Church, 84 Custer Ave., Newark, N.J. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Woody "Home for Services," 163 Oakwood Ave., Orange, N.J. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetert, Hillside, N.J. Millie was the loving mother of Lori Byrd; dear grandmother of three and great-grandmother of two. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
