Milan Lester Clark, 74, Sarasota, died Sept. 27, 2004. He was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Benton, Ohio, and came to Sarasota in 1960 from Magnolia, Ohio. He retired as a library teacher at Sarasota Vo-Tech and had been an audio visual teacher at Brookside Junior High School. He received a bachelor's degree at Kent State University in Ohio, a master's degree at the University of South Florida, and had done graduate work at Ohio State University. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a Babe Ruth Little League coach in Sarasota. He taught Sunday school and was on the vestry at Church of the Redeemer. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Virginia; sons Bradley of Atlanta and Brian of Birmingham, Ala.; a sister, Ola Schworm of Millersburg, Ohio; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Church of the Redeemer. National Cremation Society, Sarasota chapter, is in charge.
