Michele D. (Potter) Costello-Mackin SchenectadyMichele D. (Potter) Costello-Mackin passed away June 24, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born July 25, 1965 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady and was a 1983 graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School. She received a cosmetology license from BOCES (Schenectady) in 1983. She was a supervisor in the Schenectady school lunch program. Michele loved riding a Harley with John, cooking, doing things for others and vacationing in the Thousand Islands. She is survived by a son, Sean Costello; sister, Andrea Berardi of Rochester; brother, Kurt W. Potter of Asheville, NC; aunts, uncles, cousins and maternal aunts, uncles and cousins in Germany; and life-partner, John Mackin and his family. She was predeceased by her mother, Marlies Potter and father, Edward A. Potter and stepmother, Shirley Potter. Special thanks to Dr. Armmeaian and staff, Mary Mackin, and LaLa. Funeral service will be held at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Scotia on Friday at 10 a.m. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Rt. 7, Niskayuna.
