Michael W. Lee GAHANNA, OHIO Michael William Lee, 60, of Gahanna, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008. He was born June 5, 1948 in Sanford, Maine, to Wallace and Rosalie Lee. Michael grew up and attended high school in Westwood, and attended Burdett College in Boston. He first moved Columbus, Ohio in 1979, and later returned to Gahanna, Ohio in 1999, after living for a time in Malta, N.Y. Michaels career was spent in the insurance and financial planning industry. He was an adventurer, whose interests included flying, sailing, sky diving, golf and motorcycling. In his younger days, he was an avid mountain climber. He had recently renewed his faith in God and became a member of New Life Church, located in Gahanna, Ohio. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Rosalie, and sisters, Cathy and Carol Lee. He is survived by his girlfriend, Carol Bailey; his children, Gregory (Michelle) Lee and Jeffrey (Christine Delcore) Lee, and Taylor Lee, whom he loved like a daughter; his father, Wallace Lee; his grandchildren, Brianna, Alexander, Zachary, Rosemarie and Ryan Lee; many friends, business associates and other relatives. Family received friends from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 14, at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (Rte. 62 at Beecher Rd.), Gahanna, OH, where services will be held today at noon, Dr. Gary W. Exman, officiating; Interment will be in the Oakdale Cemetery, Sanford, Maine.
