Michael William Jenkins SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - Michael William Jenkins, 56 of South Berwick died on October 4, 2014, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital following a battle against cancer. Born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on July 27, 1958, he was a son of James and Susan (Murray) Jenkins. Raised in Kittery he attended local schools graduating from R.W. Traip with the class of 1977. Mike was a dedicated member of the City of Portsmouth Department of Public Works for over thirty one years as a General Foreman. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing as well as time spent building and caring for the motocross track "MX207" in Lyman where he enjoyed the sport of motocross. Mike is survived by his loving family; Sons Sean and Christopher, daughter Kelly, grandson Hudson, mother Susan, sister Chris, and brother Jimmy. Friends are invited to visit with Mike's family on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the JS Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road, Kittery, Maine 03904, where a funeral will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
