Family members are his father, Todd McClellan of Augusta; his mother, Melanie 'Shane' Fowler Benson of Lincolnton; his stepfather, Michael Benson of Lincolnton; one half brother, Dustin McClellan of Augusta; one stepsister, Brittany Benson of Lincolnton; maternal grandmother, Rosalyn A. Fowler of Augusta; paternal grandmother, Melba Spivey of Evans; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael was born in Augusta and a member of New Life Christian Center.
