Michael Scott Anderson, age 54, passed gently on Wednesday, December 4th. He was surrounded by family and friends at Holy Cross Hospital. Mike was loved by many in the Fort Lauderdale area, where he worked as a nurse helping others professionally. In his off hours, he devoted countless hours supporting friends and loved ones. His compassion and caring for others was only matched by his outrageous sense of humor. Born and raised in Oakland Park, Mike graduated from Cardinal Gibbons, and FAU nursing school. He is survived by his sisters Jennifer Nestler, Carrie Fox, her husband Bob, and brother Mark Anderson. Nieces and nephews Desiree McGreevy, Don Nestler, Kelsey Fox, Matt Anderson and Emma Nestler will miss their Uncle Mike. A noon Mass celebrating Mike's life will be this Saturday, December 7, at Saint John the Baptist church in Fort Lauderdale Florida, followed by a gathering at Carrie Fox's home.
