CARTER, Michael JohnMichael John Carter, age 64, of Cheyenne, WY, formerly of Loxahatchee, entered into eternal rest on Thursday May 1, 2014 in Denver, CO after an extended illness. His devoted wife Barbara was at his side. Michael was born in Toledo, OH on August 23, 1949 to Carl Carter and Jeanne Carter. Later moving to Lake Park, FL when he was 6 years old. Michael graduated from Palm Beach Country Day School and later attended Palm Beach Community College. He fought bravely in Vietnam with the 25th infantry division of the U.S Army, achieving the rank of E-5 (sergeant) where he was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement against hostile forces. He married his wife Barbara (Labounty) on November 11, 1978. Michael is survived by his wife of 36 years, his sister Sue Williams (Don); brothers Kevin, Craig and Richard Carter (Martha); brother-in-law Douglas Labounty (Claudia) and a host of nieces and nephews.
