Michael Joe Malone, 62, Seymour, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.Mike was retired and had worked at Cummins Inc., National Veneer-Swain Industries and Metaldyn Corp. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.Born March 15, 1951, in Seymour, he was the son of Fred A. and Rosemary (Brooks) Malone. On Oct. 25, 1986, in Jellico, Tenn., he married Kim Culp Harvey.Survivors include his wife, Kim; four children, Gregory (Angelina) Malone and Jamie Wheeler, both of South Carolina, Amanda (Andy) Bowman, Seymour, and Jamie Howell, Freetown; four brothers, Dwayne (Linda) Malone and James Malone, both of Scipio, David (Pam) Malone, Seymour, and Terry (Darlene) Malone, Vernon; one sister, Katrinka Cottongim, Scipio; nine grandchildren, Maddie and Brady Bowman, Dylan and Hayley Howell, Dustyn, Samantha, Jordan and Jake Wheeler, and Jack Malone; and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Sunday at the home of David Malone, 8547 Rainier Drive in Seymour.Memorials may be given through the funeral home to Hospice of Schneck Medical Center.Arrangements were handled by Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre.
