WILLIAMS Michael J. (Jerry) Williams, loving husband, father, brother, son and friend, passed away suddenly November 12, 2012. Jerry was born and raised in Jacksonville and moved to Orange Park three years ago to take over Orange Park Service when his father passed away. He attended Sacred Heart School, graduated from Bishop Kenny in 1971, and St. Leo College in 1975. Jerry was a man of faith who led a life of service never saying no when asked for help. He served as treasurer and president of the North Florida School of Special Education, president of the Holy Family Men s Club, and also served on their parish council and as head usher for 11 years. He was also head usher at Our Lady Star of the Sea parish. He served as a trustee of St. Leo College and President of the Bishop Kenny School Board. Jerry was also very involved with the Florida Pest Management Association, serving as Director of Region 5, as well as every board position including President. He was awarded the prestigious Pioneer Award from the Florida Pest Management Association. Jerry loved spending time with his family, especially attending all Gator sporting events with his son Michael, and his mother and brother. Having played soccer for eight years through school, he developed a passion for the sport, watching games at all hours of the night. He was past President of the Jaguar Soccer Club. He is survived by his loving wife, of 31 years, Barbara; son, Michael; daughter, Katy; mother, Jeanne; brothers: Ray (Lorraine), Bill (Polly), Glenn (Doris); sister Vivian McDonald (Jon) and numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Middleburg, where he recently joined the Knight of Columbus. Visitation will be held at St. Luke s, 1606 Blanding Blvd. Thursday, November 15 (TONIGHT) from 5 7 PM, followed by the Rosary. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Andy Blaszkowski on Friday, November 16 at 11:00 am at St. Luke s, followed by burial at Jacksonville Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Arc Village (for the disabled) c/o The Arc, 1050 N. Davis St. Jacksonville, FL 32209.
