Michael J. Burns, IIIHYDE PARK - Michael J. Burns, III, 72, of Hyde Park, NY, passed away on December 25, 2012 at Vassar Bros. Medical Center. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 26, 1940, the son of Michael J. & Jeannette Kahn Burns, Jr. Michael married Kathleen A. Guarino on November 16, 1986 at the College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, NY. She survives at home. He was a 3rd generation Stagehand working for I.A.T.S.E. Local 1 in New York City and his last show he worked on was Phantom of the Opera. The first Broadway show he worked on was The Sound of Music with Mary Martin. He was a member of St. Martin de Porres Church and was U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was a loving husband and father who was also a stockholder in the Green Bay Packers football team. Survivors include his son: Kyle A. Burns; Daughter: Amanda C. Burns both of Highland, NY; brothers: Ronald of Queens, NY and Robert of New Jersey. There are several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, December 28, 2012, 4-8 PM at the Wm. G. Miller & Son FH, Inc., 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday 10 am at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
