Obituary of Michael-D. Anderson

Michael D. Anderson, 24, of Dalmatia, Pa., passed away Sunday, October 30. He was born January 9, 1987. Michael was a Controls Technician for Intercon. He was a member of Zion Stone Valley Elca UCC Church, Dalmatia, PA, a member of the Dalmatia Volunteer Fire Company #62, and the Mandata American Legion Post 504. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the beach, and spending time with his family, friends, and his beloved dog Candy.Michael is survived by his mother, Ida M. Anderson of Dalmatia; his father, H. Dewayne Anderson of Caryville; his maternal grandmother, Virginia L. Schroyer of Dalmatia; his paternal grandparents, Horace and Marguerite Anderson of Vernon; one brother, Nickalous D. Anderson of Dalmatia; eight uncles, Homer C. Gross, William H. Schroyer and wife Karen, Richard M. Schroyer and wife Veronica all of Dalmatia, Henry M. Schroyer and wife Deneen of Mechanicsburg, Robert J. Gilligan and wife Sheryl of Herndon, Greg Heim and wife Angela of Dalmatia, Kenneth L. Anderson of Chipley, Alex S. Anderson of Ochlocknee, Georgia, and one aunt, Sharon A. Sasser and husband Henry of Chipley; one nephew, Garrett M. Zeiders of Dalmatia; one niece, Anayiah Ellis of Athens, Ohio, and many cousins.Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Zion Stone Valley Church, 1871 Mountain Rd., Dalmatia, PA 17017 starting at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 AM until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church in care of the Michael D. Anderson Memorial Fund at 1781 Mountain Rd., Dalmatia, PA 17017.
