Curtis, Michael Allen COLONIE Michael Allen Curtis, 55, of Colonie, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Julie Blair Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Denison, Iowa on July 6, 1952 and came to Albany in 1963. Mike was a 1969 Colonie High School graduate and was recognized as a National Merit Scholar semi-finalist. His work at Empire State College earned him a bachelor's degree, Magna Cum Laude. He recently became a member of American Mensa Society. Michael worked as a computer programmer and analyst for various organizations including the Division of Social Services at New York State. He was active in church choirs and served as treasurer at West End Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his parents, Tom and Betty Curtis; his brother Patrick Curtis of Fairfax, Va. and many cousins in Ind. and other states. Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 11:00 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be private at Memory's Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to Spondylitis Association of America, PO Box 5872, Sherman Oaks, CA 91413 in memory of Michael A. Curtis.
