Michael A. Raimonde Sr. of Westfield, N.J., formerly of Hoboken, N.J., passed away peacefully at the Genesis Health Care Center on March 3, 2011. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's R.C. Church in Hoboken. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 7, 2011 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Failla Memorial Home, 533 Willow Ave. Hoboken. Michael was a self-employed barber, a proud United States Army veteran, and an avid singer, performing in the same circle as Frank Sinatra. A devoted husband to Harriet (nee Opryszko), Michael gave of himself tirelessly for her health care as a victim of Alzheimer's. Michael and Harriet enjoyed professional ballroom dancing, winning several renowned competitions. Michael is survived by his two sons, Michael Jr. and his wife, Kathi, of Linden, N.J., and Joseph of Point Pleasant, N.J., and two grandchildren, Kelli and Kristin.
