McCUMBER Mary Louise McCumber, 97, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2008. She was a resident of Life Care Center in Hilliard for the last four years. The family wishes to thank the Life Care staff for the excellent care Mrs. McCumber received. Mrs. McCumber will be remembered as being a very generous, kind hearted, and loving person. While she was able, she visited and ministered to her many friends, many of whom were in bad health. Mrs. McCumber worked for 30 plus years as a cashier at the Eight Pearls Package Store in Jacksonville, where she made many long time friends. Mrs. McCumber is predeceased by her husband, Lawrence E. McCumber, Sr. and by her son, Lawrence E. McCumber, Jr. Survivors include her sister, Ruth Money; her former daughter-in-law, Patricia Switek, who always remained an important part of her life; five grandchildren, Cynthia McCumber, Pam DeLoach (Ron), Michael McCumber (Lisa), David McCumber and Susan Willcox (George); seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, September 2nd in the Chapel of COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 940 Cesery Blvd. with Rev. Bob Long of Murray Hill Methodist Church officiating.
