-><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Green (nee Ragin), MaxineMaxine Green, daughter of the late John Ragin and Catherine Mickens, born in Summerton, South Carolina on February 17, 1952. Maxine was very well-known who also went by the name "Mother Max". She attended The Summerton South Carolina School system and worked at Palisade Gardens Home for Adults for many years until she was no longer able. She enjoyed watching Law and Order, cooking for her family and friends along with playing cards. Maxine was married to the late Moses Green; she is also survived by her two daughters, Lucille Green and Maxine Cardwell both of Yonkers; two sons Maurice Green of Yonkers and James Green of White Plains; a step son Derrick Felder of Yonkers; one daughter-in-law, Tanya Green of Yonkers; two sons-in- law, Gary Anderson and Steven Cardwell, both of Yonkers; two sisters, Daisy Ragin of Yonkers and Tereasa Ragin of South Carolina; one brother, John Ragin, Jr. of South Carolina; one sister-in-law Phyllis Ragin of South Carolina; one brother-in-law Eddie Richburg of White Plains and nine grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Her brother Billy Ragin, sisters Essie Ragin and Norma Ruth Ragin, Phosiann Richburg and longtime companion Joseph Felder predeceased her death. Visitation will be on Friday, October 3, 2014 at the Commnity Baptist Church, 156 North Broadway, Yonkers, NY from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 9 am at the church.
