BELLOWS FALLS - Max Miller, 91, of Lincoln Street died Sunday, Feb. 7, at the Springfield Hospital, Springfield, Vt. Born Dec. 18, 1918, in Bellows Falls, son of Sam and Annie Miller, he was a 1937 graduate of Bellow Falls High School and went on to attend college in Alabama. He worked as a newspaper advertising director at the Bellows Falls Times for 15 years. He was owner/operator of the Shopper News Review and co-founder, along with his wife, Odessa, in June of 1961. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, participated in the Legion Drum & Bugle Corps, and was a life member of the BPO Elks 1619. In 1947 Mr. Miller married Odessa Shafer who survives. He leaves his children, Thomas Miller and wife, Chris, of Bellows Falls, Robert Miller of Warren, and Marilyn Frost and husband, Thomas, of Newton, Mass.; his brother, Saul Miller and wife, Joyce, of Bellows Falls; grandchildren, Thaddeus Frost, Heather Cedrone, Reuben Miller and Marc Miller; and great-grandchildren, Timothy Frost, Ryan Frost and Kristina Cedrone. He is predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Maurice, Hyman, and Reuben. FUNERAL NOTICE: There will be a graveside service 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, in the Meyer David Cemetery in Claremont, N.H. There will be no calling hours. Services are under the direction of Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home.
