AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mattie Louise Stewart of The Place at Deansbridge Rd. (formerly of 2127 Roosevelt Dr.) was called to Eternal Rest on Thursday, July 28, 2011. She was born and raised in Augusta, GA. She will always be remembered for her big smile, loving kindness, her passion for the Lord, and always having good things to say to every one she meets. She leaves to cherish her memories: a son, Melvin Carl (Aniska) Stewart of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Calani and Carl Stewart II; brothers, Walter (Mary) Warren Jr., Johnnie (Ozella) Warner, and Larry Sturgis; and a loving sister, Betty P. (David) Dempsey; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be conducted this Monday, August 1, 2011 at 11 AM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Gibson Chapel with Pastor Larry Hall presiding. Interment will be at Cedar Grove Cemetey. Family will recieve friends this afternoon from 3 - 5 PM at C.A.
