JONES Mattie Lee Jones of 846 Baker Avenue passed November 28, 2006. She was a loving mother and grandmother affectionately known as “Mother Dear.” She was a member of Central Metropolitan C.M.E. Church, 4611 Pearl Street, Rev. John Walker, pastor and of the Naomi Chapter 208 OES. Mrs. Jones is survived by a devoted family that includes two daughters: Lillie Mae Townsend (Frank), Yvonne Robinson; 12 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, several other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday on 12/4/06 at her church and the interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery. Mrs. Jones may be viewed on Sunday at Carthage Chapel Funeral Home from 3 P.M. until 6:00 PM. The family has requested the cortege to assemble from 5654 Paris Avenue.
