Mattie Alice Butler, age 90, of Suwanee passed away Sept. 13, 2013. Mrs. Butler was born in Alpharetta and was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Forsyth County High School. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, where she was active in Sunday school, the WMU and singing with a church group at nursing homes.She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Edwin Butler; and son James Larry Butler.She is survived by her daughter, Faye B. Boyd (Charles) of Suwanee; son, Dennis Edwin Butler (Linda) of Lawrenceville; five grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral services will be held Sunday, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m. at Bill Head Funeral Home Duluth Chapel. Interment will be at Shady Grove (South) Baptist Church Cemetery in South Forsyth near Johns Creek. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, Sept. 14, from 5-8 p.m.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt.
