BARNES, MARY ZELMA, 92, died Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was the former Mary Zelma Myers and a native of Hardin County, KY. She was a former cafeteria worker for The Nelson County School System in Bardstown, KY, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lebanon Junction. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett T. Barnes. She is survived by her two sons, Joseph R. "J.R." Barnes (Jeannie), of Louisville, and James F. Barnes (Barbara), of Scottsburg, IN; five grandchildren, Julie Haag, Jennifer Moeller, Tony Barnes, Matthew Barnes and Mark Barnes; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at The First Baptist Church of Lebanon Junction, with Rev. Isaac Ferguson and Rev. Tom Wicker officiating. Burial is in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Nelson County, KY. Visitation: 1-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Kappel Funeral Home, Lebanon Junction. Expressions of sympathy may be made to her church.
