Mary Wright, age 86, of South Salem, New York, a resident for 23 years, formerly of Rockford. IL, died on October 25, 2006. She was born February 19, 1920 in Co. Mayo, Ireland to parents Michael and Julia Waldron Giblin. She was the Proprietor of Mary's Suburban Shoppe, a women's clothing store in Rockford, IL for 20 years. She was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Rockford for 40 years, the PTA Music Boosters President, the Rockford Garden Club, and The Illinois Fashion League. In New York she was a member of the Marilyn Horne Foundation. She will be remembered for her love of clothing and fashion, interior design and gardening and devotion to good music. She is survived by her loving daughter Lesley Richard and her son-in-law Renald Richard of South Salem, New York. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward Wright on November 7, 1962 and her sister Margaret Ewing in 2003. The family will receive friends at the CLARK ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah on Sunday, October 29th from 2 to 5 pm. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 31st in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Rockford, IL at 1 pm, with the Rev. Melany Hamilton officiating.
