BENNINGTON -- Mary (Baratto) Williams, 87, formerly of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington. She had lived there since 1988 and was the wife of the late Jerome Williams.Mary was born on Aug. 10, 1917, in Cambridge, N.Y., daughter of the late Anthony and Clara (Messina) Baratto. She was educated at schools in Cambridge. In her earlier years, she worked at the Mary McClellan Hospital and the Jerome Wright Seed Company both in Cambridge. Mary enjoyed cooking her spaghetti dinner for her family on Sunday.She is survived by a sister Anna Bell of Hoosick Falls; a brother, Albert Baratto of Cambridge; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a sister, Lena Powell and a brother, Joe Baratto.A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, at 1 p.m. at the Four Chaplains All Faiths Memorial Chapel at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in the spring at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Cambridge. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main St. in Hoosick Falls.
