Mary Williams Gary, IN Mary Williams, age 75, of Gary, IN made her heavenly transition on Wednesday, May 23, 2007. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Brenda Carter of Frog More, LA; grandson, Karanja (Qwanda) Patterson of Washington, D.C. and Darweshi Carter of Denver, CO; five sisters: Beulah Schiele and Lillie Green both of Ferriday, LA, Hattie Johnson of Hammond, IN, Mable McKinney of Chicago, IL and Lillian Scott of Ferriday, LA; two brothers: Henry (Dionne) Scott of Baton Rouge, LA and Joseph Scott of Ferriday, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Williams; sister, Stella Scott; and brothers: Emanuel Scott and Noah Scott. Homegoing services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 3715 Butternut Street, East Chicago, IN with Dr. Rev. James Hunter officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment Mt. Buleah Christian Church Cemetery, Frog More, LA. Divinity Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
