Mary Watson Wright Mary Watson Wright, 78, entered into rest October 4, 2008, in Tallahassee. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. EDT Wednesday, October 8th, at Forest Heights Baptist Church, with burial at Woodville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 7to 9 p.m. at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home-Riggins Road Chapel (850-877-8191).Memorial contributions may be made to Forest Heights Baptist Church. Mary was born in Woodville and was a lifelong resident of Tallahassee. She graduated from Florida State University with a Masters degree. Her professional career included teaching for 18 years in the classroom, 10 years serving as Assistant Principal at Oak Ridge Elementary School, and 8 years as Principal of Oak Ridge Elementary.She retired after 36 years of service. Mary was a member of the Daffodil Garden Club, Alfa Delta Kappa, Florida Retired Educators Association and the Tallahassee Lions Club. Her church membership was at Forest Heights Baptist Church, where she had taught the Joy Sunday School Class for many years. Survivors include her husband, Joe Wright of Tallahassee; one son, Joey Wright of Tallahassee; two daughters, Susan Christie (and husband Kris) of Crawfordville and Mary Ellen Anderson (nd husband Rex) of Monticello; five brothers and their wives, Thomas and Betty Watson of Tallahassee, Donald and Carol Watson of Fairhope, Ala., Billy and Carolynn Watson of Woodville, Jerry Wayne and Carol Watson of Woodville, and Maurice and Mary Watson of Woodville; aunt, Helen Chester Vickers; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Ina Watson; and a brother, Edward W. Watson. Mary enjoyed traveling, reading, bird watching and going to the mountains.
