She was born on October 5, 1927 in Pulaski, Tennessee and was 86 years old. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Pulaski, attended Mary Washington College and Vanderbilt University and her favorite hobby was traveling all over the world to see operas. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 13th from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. Funeral service will follow visitation on Sunday at 2:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor, Robert Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mahlon and Mary Sumpter Long. She is survived by her husband, Thomas David Johnson, Sr. of Pulaski; son, Thomas David (Beverly) Johnson, Jr. of Pulaski; daughter, Katherine (John) Lee of Palm Desert, California; daughter, Anne J. (Rudy) Ruark of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Thomas David (Lisa) Johnson III, Laura Jessup, Lisa (Mickey) May, Mary Sumpter (Matt) Lapinski, Jonathan Lee, and Robert Ruark, and eight grandchildren.
