She moved to Jacksonville 14 years ago from Birmingham, Alabama, where she was a long time resident and faithful member of Southminster Presbyterian Church. She is greatly loved by generations of kindergarten and Sunday School children. Mrs. Williams is predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Allen. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Chamblin (Dr. Minor), two sons, Dr. Hadyn Williams (Jo), and Tim Williams (Diane); brother Bemon McBride of Columbus, Georgia; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Avenue, in Jacksonville, FL. A service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 30, at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, AL, followed by burial at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 1:00 pm prior to the service.
