VALENTINE, Mary It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary, a wonderful mother, sister and aunt, on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the age of 85 years in Regina. She was predeceased by her father Steve; and brothers Bill, Alex, Syd, Walter, Freddie, and Panko. Left to cherish her memory are her mother Rose Woitas; children Ann and Allan (Teresa). Her grandchildren Warren, Caitlin and Jessica will greatly miss their Baba. She is also survived by her brother Michael (Geraldine); and sisters Anne (Eli), Olga, Sophie, Stella (Wasyl), Pauline, Katherine, Teresa (Stan), and Lillian (Wayne); sisters-in-law Janice and Irene; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary had a beautiful and compassionate spirit and a great sense of humour. She was a wonderful friend and caregiver. She was known as being a wonderful cook as well as an avid gardener, particularly of gladiolas and poppies. Mary's life will be celebrated at her funeral and memorial at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Model Farm, SK at a later date. Allan and Ann would like to thank Dr. Chalchal, the staff and physicians at Wascana Grace Hospice for their kind and compassionate care given to Mary. Special thanks to Mary's nieces, Ann-Marie and Wanda and sisterin-law Irene for their loving compassion and support to Mary and her family.
