Mary V. Flynn, 86, of Brockton died Monday, June 14, 2010, in Holbrook under the care of her family and hospice after a period of failing health. Born April 30, 1924, in Boston, she was a daughter of the late James J. Flynn and Anna I. (Hartnett) Flynn. Raised and educated in the Boston area, Mary worked as a clerk for the Savings Bank Life Insurance from which she retired. She went on after her retirement to work as a home health aide for the elderly for 16 years in the Medfield and Worcester area. Mary was a parishioner of Christ the King Parish. She is survived by her brothers, John F. Flynn and his wife Frances and Paul J. Flynn, all of Brockton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James Flynn and Dorothy Fabrizio. The family would like to give a special thanks to Marys caregiver, Victoria North. Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, today at 8 a.m., thence to Christ the King Parish, 42 Wendell Ave., Brockton, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated today at Christ the King Parish.
