Mary Tess (MacDougall) Higgins, age 84,entered into eternal life Aug. 21, 2012, suddenly. Tess grew up in Roxbury and had lived in Weymouth since 1957. Mrs. Higgins was a hostess at the Village Steak House, Traffic Supervisor for the Town of Weymouth and worked as a clerk for Dr. Albert Sullivan before she retired. Beloved wife of the late William T. Higgins. Devoted mother of Karen A. Higgins of Weymouth, Michael R. Higgins and his wife Pamela of Scituate, Kevin J. Higgins, William D. Higgins and his wife Laura, Ellen L. Whitman, all of Weymouth and the late Thomas W. Higgins. Beloved sister of the late Robert P. MacDougall. Loving grandmother to Colin, Kaitlin, Courtney, Joseph, Zachary and Eric; and great-grandmother of Aiden. Tess rejoiced in her large family and delighted in the many wonderful memories she shared with friends over the years. Funeral was held from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth, Saturday, Aug. 25 at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 10 a.m. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
