STILLWATER Mary T. Sam Pignatelli Carr, 88, of Durham Road, died Sunday, April 11, 2004 at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Mechanicville, September 19, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Teresa Ercolino Pignatelli, and the widow of Alfred Carr who died June 10, 1960. Mrs. Carr was a seamstress, working for the former Korell Dress Co. of Mechanicville and later Cluett-Peabody of Troy. She was a member of the Italian Fraternal Ladies Bocchi Ball League, enjoyed bowling, sewing and crafts. Survivors include her daughter, Margaret (John) Crammond of Stillwater; son, Ronald (Debra) Carr of Springfield, Mass.; grandchildren, Johna Benson, Audra Crammond, Deborah Messier, Kathleen Petri and Ronald G. Carr; great-grandchildren, Timothy and Amanda Benson, Heather, Kyle and Brandon Messier and Bianca Petri. Also survived by her sisters, Rose Zappone, Carmella Fusco and Adeline Rubino, all of Mechanicville; along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Anna DeLucia, Tillie Cimino, Teresa Whalen and brothers, James, Alphonse and Joseph Pignatelli. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at the Assumption-St. Paul Church, William Street, Mechanicville. Burial in St. Paul's Cemetery. Calling hours at the William Street Church on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Stillwater Rescue Squad or Community Hospice of Saratoga.
