Mary Sue Miller, 71, of 405 Seminole Drive, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001. Born in Greenville, she was the wife of Alfred Eugene Miller and the daughter of the late Harvey and Lillian Turner Garrett. She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Highland Avenue Baptist Church. In addition to her husband she is also survived by four daughters, Mary Jonell Kelley, Brenda Kay Yates, Deborah Ann Yates, and Darlene G. King; one son, Danny Ray Williams; four sisters, Joyce Edens, Bobby Jean Cowert, Margaret Henderson and Peggy Ruth Reeves; one brother, Harvey (Bud) Garrett Jr; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by a daughter, Susan Delores Gonzalez; sons, Allen Lynn Miller and Ernie Lee Williams; one grandson, Frankie Brooks; sister, Helen Reid; and a brother, Ralph Garrett. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family is at the residence.
