Obituary of Mary-Sue Johnson


Mary Sue Johnson, 91, Southside, died Monday, June 29, 2009, at Montgomery Care & Rehab. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kimberly Campbell officiating. Burial will be in A private burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Johnson was born Janaury 24, 1918 in Corbin, Kentucky, daughter of the late Mack Lee Fuson and Polly Myrtle Duggar Fuson. She was preceded in death by her husband V. Howard Johnson, her son Leslie Howard Johnson, and a daughter Alma Jean Johnson. Mary Sue was a retired beautician, and a christian of the Baptist faith. She is survived by three children Jerry Mack Johnson and wife Lorna of Clarksville; Linda Sue Young and husband Howard of Southside, TN; and Polly F. Toren and husband Amit of El Paso, TX. Her grandchildren are Mary Sue Rinehart; Ruthanne Quigtar; Donna Johnson; Leslie Johnson; Jerry Johnson, Jr. and Virgil Johnson; ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jerry Johnson, Jr., Mike Rinehart, Brady Adams, Daren Stewart, Cris Quigtar, and David Rinehart. www.sykesfuneralhome.com
