Mary Sue Florence Clifford, 77, wife of Lowell J. Clifford, died June 20, 2014 after a 10 year battle with cancer.She was born April 4, 1937, a daughter of the late Vernon and Lizzie Butler Florence.She was a graduate of the Harrison County High School class of 1955, a charter member of the Kentucky Herb Association and was involved in its operation until being diagnosed with cancer. She was a member of the Harrison County Crafters, and a member of the group that organized the Harrison County Farmers Market. She and Lowell were instrumental in the formation of the Harrison County Beef Cattle Association and she was a strong supporter of the Harrison County Extension office. She loved gardening, sewing and making crafts of all kinds and spending time with the three great-granddaughters. In addition to her husband Lowell she is survived by her sons, Mark Evans (Stephanie) Clifford and Dwight Keith (Leslie) Clifford; three grandchildren, Carrie Clifford (Dylan) Paul, Matthew Evans Clifford and Charles Jackson ""CJ"" (Tomi Jean) Clifford; three great-granddaughters, Finley Clifford Paul, Kimmel Aldrige Paul, Henley Jean Clifford; two sisters, Barbara Thompson and Bonnie Matthews; one brother, Donald Ray (Judy) Florence; a very special niece, Hannah Matthews; three nephews, Marshall, Tony and David Thompson.A celebration of life memorial service will be held Sunday, June 29 at 1:30 p.m. at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home.
