Mary St. Jacobs Williams Mary St. Jacobs Smith Williams, 82, a retired educator, died Monday, March 14, 2005. The service will be at 11 a.m. EST Friday at Mount Olive AME Church in Fort Myers, with burial at Fort Myers Cemetery. Tillman Funeral Home in Monticello (850-997-5553) is handling local arrangements. Hickson Funeral Home in Fort Myers (239-334-6440) is handling other arrangements.A native of Jacksonville, Mrs. Williams had lived in Tallahassee for the past 15 years. Before moving to Tallahassee, she was a resident of Fort Myers, where she had taught physical education and health at Dunbar High School and Lee Middle School for 33 years. Mrs. Williams graduated from Stanton Senior High School in Jacksonville in the class of 1941.She received her Bachelor of Science from North Carolina College at Durham, now North Carolina Central, and her Master of Science in physical education from Indiana University. She was a charter member of the Theta Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., a member of Phi Delta Kappa teacher's fraternity, the Sor-Frat Club, Friends Forever, Daughters of the Elks Lodge and, since 1946, a member of Mount Olive AME Church, where she had served in several capacities, including being a member of choir No. 2. Saluting her beautiful life and mourning her passing are a daughter and son-in-law, Renee S. Tolliver and band Edward G. Tolliver of Tallahassee; a son, Calvin E. Freeman (and wife Michelle Freeman) of Fort Myers; five grandsons, Steven B. Powell of Pensacola, Michael W. Tolliver of Tallahassee and Marvin Freeman, Christopher Freeman and Erric Freeman, all of Fort Myers; and two granddaughters, Alexis Freeman and Cuoshatta Tolliver, both of Fort Myers.Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husbands,Willie Smith in 1978 and Edward C. Williams in 1985.
