SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mary Smith Lee, 83, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born December 30, 1922, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Johnny and Nettie Culbreth Smith and the wife of the late Sam G. Lee. She was retired from Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after 24 years of service and was a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church.Survivors include two daughters, Peggie Lee Melton and her husband Glen of Moore, and Jane Lee Jones and her husband Don of Boiling Springs; a sister, Evelyn Waddle of Spartanburg; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Melton Pressley and her husband Bill, Donnie Jones and his wife Gena, and Brent Jones and his wife Tammy; and four great-grandchildren, Samantha and William Pressley, and Joshua and Haley Jones.Visitation will be 3-3:45 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2006, at New Beginnings United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. Ken Owens.
