Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.A native of Jackson County, NC, Mrs. Hooper was a daughter of the late Charles and Gensie Smith. Born on August 8, 1927 she worked as the head cashier for Community Cash for many years, and was a member of Eastview Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Otto David Hooper, and a son Robert Daniel Hooper. Surviving are a daughter Doris Jean Rawls of Mechanicsville, VA; a son Charles Alfred Hooper of Rock Hill; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.A service to celebrate Mrs. Hooper's life will be held at 7:00pm Monday in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until the hour of service at the funeral home on Monday. Interment will be at Grandview Memorial Park S. - Cherry Road on Tuesday at 10:00am.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Hooper to Catawba Baptist Church, 1450 S.
