Mary Sue Higgins, 87, of Manchester, Tenn., died Wednesday April 4, 2007. The service will be at 2 p.m. today at Waterloo United Methodist Church. Mrs. Higgins will lie in state from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Interment will be in Richardson Cemetery. The Rev. David Muse is officiating.Mrs. Higgins was a homemaker and a member of Waterloo United Methodist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. Higgins, and two brothers and three sisters.Survivors include her sons, Charles Douglas Higgins and wife, Gloria, of Manchester, Tenn., and Richard Dwayne Higgins, of Eads, Tenn.; daughter, Betty Sue Stone and husband, Jeff, of Florence; grandchildren, Charla Swanson, Christi Green, Josh Stone and Hannah Stone; and one great-grandchild, Gavyn Green.Pallbearers will be Josh Stone, Marty Green, Leif Swanson, Jeff Stone, A.C. Gardo and Tommy Hayes.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Waterloo United Methodist Church.The family would like to extend a special thanks to her host of friends at King Wood Arms, Manchester, Tenn., and Manchester Medical Center.Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights, is directing.
