MARY RUTH McCLAIN DAVIS, 74Cook LAKELAND - Mrs. Mary Ruth McClain Davis 74, died in her home on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007. She worked as a head cook for many restaurants in the Lakeland area. She was a member of Born Again Indoor/Outdoor Ministries. Mrs. Davis leaves her husband Joseph Davis and her six children: Joseph Davis, Lakeland, Barbara Gibson, Lakeland, Betty Bryant, Mulberry, Nila McGee, Lakeland, Oliver McClain Jr., Marianna, Gail Giles, Lakeland, and Hazel Davis, Tampa, stepson, Joseph Davis Jr., Plant City. Also two brothers: M.B. Ellis, Alabama, and Lovejoy Thomas of Detroit, MI. She leaves 11 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Visitation this evening from 6-8 PM at Born Again Indoor/Outdoor Ministries, 1130 N. Ohio Ave. Funeral, Saturday, 11 AM New Jerusalem MB Church. Services entrusted to Coney Funeral Parlor.
