Mary Ruth Gallaher Smith, 72, of Oliver Springs, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, in Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge.She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Smith; her parents, France and Maudie Russell Gallaher; and a son, Randy Smith.Survivors include two daughters, Norma McAlister, Oak Ridge, and Connie McCarter, Jacksonville, Fla.Burial was at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at Anderson Memorial Gardens, Clinton, with Pastor David Keathley and Preacher Robert Combs officiating. Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs, was in charge of arrangements.
