Mary Ruth Crumley Smith, age 90, of Lula, Ga., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013.Mrs. Smith was born on April 26, 1923, in Banks County, Ga.; daughter of the late William Nelson and Nora Taylor Crumley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Smith; and son, Edgar Smith. Mrs. Smith was a member of Belton Baptist Church, and was a homemaker and retired seamstress.Survivors include her sons, Royce Smith, Murrayville; Willard Smith, Baldwin; Joel Smith, Lula; Baxter Smith, Lula; sisters, Ethel Tucker, Fountain Inn, S.C.; Ruby Jones, Spartanburg, S.C.; Monteen Wiley, Chester, S.C.; brothers, William Crumley, Quenton, Ark.; Charles Crumley, Whitmire, S.C.; Steve Crumley, Union, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Ga., with the Rev. Phillip Gillespie and the Rev. Danny Lewallen officiating.
