NEW HAVEN -- Mary Roseline Norris Clark, 82, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2003, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. Born on July 24, 1921, to the late Orie Ignatius Norris and Anna Florence Donohue Norris, she was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in New Hope, KY, and manager of the Guest House at the Abbey of Gethsemani in New Haven. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Francis Harley Clark; son, Joseph Augustine Clark; grandson, James Scott Mattingly; five brothers, Perman Norris, Albertus Norris, Oscar Norris, Raymond Norris and Orie I. "Mate" Norris; and one sister, Anna Florence Norris. She is survived by four sons, Tony Clark of Louisville, Jerome Clark of Sacramento, CA, and John B. Clark and Allen Clark, both of New Haven; three daughters, Eula Taylor of Owensboro, KY, Wanda Werner of Bardstown, KY, and Linda Mattingly of New Haven; two sisters, Eva Cecil and Marie Nalley, both of Bardstown; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Roseline Norris Clark will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2003, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in New Hope, KY, with the Rev. Jim Graf officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church Cemetery in New Hope. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2003, at William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven and from 8 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Friday, September 5, 2003. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2003, in the Chapel of William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven.
