Mrs. Mary Rose Short, born on March 21, 1901 in Bayside, Queens, died peacefully on July 16, 2002 at home in Tappan at the age of 101. She was a longtime resident of Lynbrook, NY, where she raised her family and worked for Liberty Mutual. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Church in Lynbrook. She married Frank A. Short on November 1, 1925, who has predeceased her. Mrs. Short is survived by her children Frank, Joseph, Eileen Kunkel and Ralph. She was also predeceased by her son James. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 9am at the Our of Lady of Peace Church in Lynbrook with burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
