Mary Rose Light Hughes Calabash Mary Rose Light Hughes, 88, died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Born on June 16, 1926 in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Ubelacker White. Mrs. Hughes is survived by her husband of 34 years, John P. Hughes; son, Jim W. Light (Sheila); daughters, Janice A. Strohsnitter (John), Jeanne Light-Buff (David) and four grandchildren. She is predeceased by her grandson, Joey. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Thursday, July 3 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic.
